This weekend, I did something that felt both physical and emotional—I cleaned out my storage shed.
It felt symbolic: closing out the Year of the Snake, shedding what no longer serves, making space as we step into the Year of the Fire Horse—a cycle of movement, momentum, and bold forward energy.
I spent hours sorting through things, letting go of items that once mattered—many tied to my parents. By the end, I was exhausted in every way.
Then I heard: “It’s going to rain tomorrow.”
All I could think was—everything I just cleared out is going to get ruined.
The next morning, I woke up overwhelmed. My plan to rest was gone. I felt pressure to fix everything… alone.
And then, something shifted.
A simple thought:
Call Danny.
Within an hour, the entire problem was solved. He came with his van, took nearly everything to Goodwill, and what felt heavy became light—fast.
Here’s what struck me:
When I woke up, I didn’t have the answer.
But when I got into the moment… the answer appeared.
That’s what it means to trust your future self.
As I step into this new season—on this Lunar New Year, the Year of the Fire Horse—I’m reminded of the caption on a painting I created:
“My future is a galloping horse.”
Not stalled. Not stuck. Moving.
So often in business—and in life—we worry because we don’t yet know how something will work out. We want certainty before we move.
But clarity doesn’t come from overthinking.
It comes from engagement.
From taking the next step.
From staying present.
From being willing to receive the solution when it arrives.
As entrepreneurs, this is the muscle we must build:
“I don’t know yet… and that’s okay.”
Because when the moment comes, so will the answer.
And when you trust that?
You move.
Forward. 💎
